Once again, we have been fortunate enough to take a group of 12 young people aged 11-13 on our latest exchange programme with our friends from the “Talk about Youth” project in Dublin.

This was our 8th year participating in the programme that has enabled more than100 young people from our local area to benefit from this unique collaboration. This trip in particular was a real success; it was a first exchange and overseas trip for the majority of the group and the first ever Shewsy residential for 8 of the 12 members.

Upon arrival we explored Dublin before heading off to the beautiful County Cavan where we spent the next three days. The young people were quick to make friends with their Irish counterparts breaking off into teams for some competitive fun whilst pushing themselves to their limits and facing their fears when participating in some of the challenging activities on
offer.

Massive thanks to Eddie and Eileen from Dublin for hosting us and to all the young people from both clubs who represented themselves and their cities in and excellent manner.

We look forward to hosting the return leg of this exchange back here in Liverpool in June.
