Junior Club welcomes around 40 children each day, aged 5 to 11, providing a fun and nurturing environment filled with opportunities to play, create, and explore.
From sports and drama to art, cooking, and games, every session helps children build confidence, resilience, and social skills. Educational and skill-building activities are also a key focus. Each child receives a hot, healthy, home-cooked meal every session. We understand the pressures families face with the rising cost of living, and we want to support our families as well as ensure that children have access to healthy food. Junior Club is often a child’s first experience of youth work and the start of lifelong friendships and memories.
Below is an example of a typical junior club day.
Creative Play – Friendship Rockets
We work in partnership with Faith Primary School to offer a walking bus for any faith primary school children attending our Junior Club. Our Youth Workers and volunteers pick children up from the school at the end of the day and walk them back to The Shewsy for the start of our Junior Club activities. The walking bus helps to promote road safety awareness, daily physical activity and supports parents and carers who would otherwise struggle to get their child from school and to Junior Club.
The walking bus must be booked before 1pm to ensure we have the correct staff levels and Faith Primary School knows which children to hand over to our Youth Workers. Walking Bus can be booked alongside our Junior Club by following the booking link below.
Due to high demand, we recommend booking in advance to secure your child’s place and guarantee their spot in these popular sessions.
