The Shewsy was recently welcomed as a guest at the West Derby Rotary Club charity event, where we were invited to share more about our work in Everton.
The event, held at Liverpool’s Devonshire Hotel, brought together local Rotarians, charity representatives, and community supporters. During the evening, members of the Rotary Club presented The Shewsy with a generous £600 donation to support its youth work programmes.
Until recently, the team knew little about the breadth of Rotary’s work, but has since been genuinely impressed by the organisation’s long-standing commitment to supporting local charities and strengthening communities across Liverpool.
This donation will contribute directly to The Shewsy’s ongoing work with young people and families, helping to sustain vital activities and support services that make a real difference in the local area. Speaking about the donation, CEO Vicki Parker said:
“The Shewsy supports over 100 children daily, providing a safe, nurturing space where they can thrive and reach their full potential. This funding will play a crucial role in sustaining our work in one of Europe’s most deprived communities”
The Shewsy extends its thanks to the West Derby Rotary Club for their generosity and continued support.
