Josef Rooney

Josef Rooney is a youth worker at The Shewsy, supporting children and young people to grow in confidence, skill and ambition. Passionate about creating safe, fun and inspiring spaces. Josef helps deliver a wide range of sessions, including Junior and Senior club, trips and residentials.

He builds trusting relationships with young people, offering guidance when life gets tough, and champions every child’s potential. With a strong commitment to The shewsy’s values, Josef works closely with the team to make sure every young person feels seen, supported and able to be the best they can be.

Josef is especially interested in sports and brings this passion into his work to create new opportunities and experiences for the community.
When he’s not at work, Josef can be found doing fire and security engineering and playing football for his local team.
