Operations Manager

Colin joined The Shewsy as Operations Manager in late 2025 and brings over 16 years’ experience across local authority, youth, community and housing sectors within the Liverpool City Region. His background includes a number of senior positions leading operations, service design and growth, and multi-disciplinary teams, alongside earlier roles supporting youth work and participation programmes.

Colin’s work has consistently focused on creating well-run, safe and supportive environments where staff can deliver high-quality youth work and young people can thrive. He has extensive experience in improving operational systems, strengthening compliance, growing social impact and supporting teams to grow in values-led organisations.

Raised in Liverpool, Colin has a strong personal connection to the city and its communities. He is passionate about contributing to organisations that make a genuine difference to local young people and their communities.

At The Shewsy, Colin is responsible for ensuring the centre runs safely and efficiently, managing facilities and systems, and supporting staff and volunteers to deliver the best possible experience for the community. He is committed to upholding The Shewsy’s long-established ethos that ‘people matter more than things’.
