I’m Elise, a volunteer play and youth worker here at The Shewsy. Having grown up in Everton and attended St Peter’s Church, the club has always been a huge part of mine and my family’s lives. My dad Kenny previously worked as a music tutor at The Shewsy and attended in his youth with my Uncle Johnny. Some of my favourite memories from my childhood are of The Shewsy Summer Fair and watching my family perform. I studied criminology at University and have always loved criminal and social justice and the idea of being able to help make a positive difference in people’s lives. Being able to support young kids and spend time with them at The Shewsy is really rewarding and always lots of fun. Working with such a hardworking, lovely team who are passionate about social work is great and really makes the club feel welcoming and like a second home to many. In my spare time I love sewing, attending concerts, and watching Everton play.
