Erica has over 45 years’ experience living in Everton, working in roles including nursing, midwifery and health visiting prior to taking up volunteering roles in the community, while bringing up 4 children (2 adopted). These included becoming a parent governor of the children’s local primary schools, Rosscommon Street then Everton Park Primary. In 2004 she became a governor of Faith Primary, the local Anglican / Catholic primary school, then Chair of Governors from 2010 to 2016. In 2004 she also became a governor of the proposed Kensington Academy, a joint Anglican / Catholic Academy which became St Francis of Assisi Academy in Kensington, Liverpool.
She was later asked by the Diocese be a director of the Kensington Academy Trust which morphed into All Saint MAT. She remained a trustee and vice chair until summer 2021. During this time she was particularly involved in appointments and discipline issues as well as general governance.
She is a trustee and secretary of a small charity, which also involves producing accounts and is on St Peter’s church’s PCC and has been PCC secretary for many years and is now Church Warden. For 8 years she was Lay Chair of the Deanery Synod. She is a Spiritual Director in the Diocese.
In 2007 she took up the post of part-time administrator for Shrewsbury House Youth club until she retired in 2015. As the only administrator employed at the time this involved everything! In 2017 she became a Manager of the Shewsy then a Trustee.
Outside of work, Erica is actively involved in St Peter and St John Chrysostom’s churches. volunteers in the local community garden, enjoys walking and minding grandchildren.
